Alumina (Al2O3) has excellent thermal shock resistance, high temperature stability and good chemical inertness, which makes alumina fiber products very suitable for fast firing cycles. Alumina fiber felt is made of 100% alumina fiber with a diameter of 4-6 microns. Designed for use in hydrogen environments and high temperatures, it is 100% inorganic fiber and does not contain binders. High-purity alumina fiber felt contains only trace amounts of silica, so it will not be reduced to elemental Si by H2 and will not pulverize or slag during use, making it more stable in high-temperature H2 environments than alumina fibers containing 3% silica. The felts are lightweight and highly porous. They can be coated with polymers, filled with inorganic powders or treated with inorganic colloids to obtain special properties.

【Product Application】

1. Alumina fiber felt is an excellent general-purpose high-temperature thermal insulation material that can be used as an isolator, packaging material, fixture, gasket, cushion, mat, barrier, covering, layering or filler material.

2. Alumina fiber felt is used as thermal insulation material for glass melting furnaces and optical fiber furnaces. Alumina fiber felt can be used as filling insulation material.

Alumina fiber felt is used as insulation material in differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). Alumina fiber felt can be used as a gasket for fuel cells.

3. Alumina fiber felt can be used as lining for high-temperature furnaces such as pure hydrogen atmosphere, nitrogen and hydrogen mixed atmosphere. Alumina fiber felt can be used for various nitride ceramic sintering furnaces.

4. Alumina fiber felt can be used for sintering furnaces for high-purity aluminum nitride ceramics above 99.99%.
